" I’ve been studying Africa in Art this year and have recently been focusing on African animals." 

"One of the artists that inspired me the most was Tomas Hammar. He is an abstract artist who mainly paints portraits, abstract pieces, and animals – but the ones that really inspired were his lion paintings." 

"In response to his work, I have created an original painting of a lion using oil paints. To create the abstract effect, I edited a photo of the face of a lion using Photoshop. I really enjoyed doing the painting and I am very pleased with the outcome – especially with the contrasting colours of orange and blue."
