HMS Royal Oak was one of the largest battleships of her time. Her and her sister ships featured in both the First World War and World War Two. HMS Royal Oak was tragically sunk in the Scarpa Flow, with many of her crew losing their lives. She was sunk when a U-Boat sneaked into the Royal Naval Harbour where they torpedoed and sunk her. She is now an official War Grave. In this painted canvas, she is pictured between the wars circa 1935 in the Malta harbour which was home to the Royal Naval Mediterranean fleet of which she was flagship.
